💎 How to Play Match-3 Puzzle
Match-3 is a gem-swapping puzzle game. The board is filled with colourful gem tiles. Click two adjacent gems (horizontally or vertically) to swap them. If the swap creates a line of 3 or more identical gems in a row or column, those gems are cleared, points are scored, and new gems fall to fill the gaps. If a swap doesn't create a match, the gems return to their original positions.
Each level has a target score you must reach before the timer runs out. Clearing gems at the bottom causes a cascade — gems above fall down and may create additional matches automatically (chain combos), which award bonus multiplier points. Progress through increasingly challenging levels with higher targets. Three stars are awarded for exceeding the target by a large margin.
Tips & Strategies
- Look for 5-in-a-row matches first — they create power-up gems that clear entire rows or columns.
- Plan from the bottom of the board upward — lower matches cause more cascades and bigger combo chains.
- Don't rush: scan the full board before swapping. The optimal move is rarely the first one you see.
- Let cascades finish fully before planning your next move — the board often looks completely different after falls.
- On higher levels, prioritise moves that set up future combos over single-match swaps.
